Blue Beard's Wife

This came from a lot of different places. I had watched the movie Tale of Tales (**spoilers**)- which includes a princess who decapitates her kidnapper/abuser/husband and dumps it at the feet of her father (**end spoilers**). It got me to thinking about what a burden it must have been to carry that head all the way home. It felt like a good analogy for the work that has to be done after leaving an abusive situation. It's not over when the "villain" is gone and a lot of it is work you have to do alone.

I swapped it to be Bluebeard's wife because I felt the themes were similar and I love doing adaptations of fairytales.
